Protecting the environment is a must In running a business in Rinjani

At our core, we believe in the importance of being responsible stewards of the environment. That’s why we have made a solemn commitment to protect the natural beauty of Mount Rinjani and the surrounding area. In partnership with the government, we will be joining hands on 3 January 2024 to plant trees in the Rinjani National Park.

This act of tree planting is more than just a symbolic gesture – it is a tangible way for us to give back to the earth and ensure a greener, healthier future for generations to come. By reforesting the area, we are not only preserving the unique ecosystem of Mount Rinjani, but also helping to combat climate change and promote biodiversity.

We understand the importance of preserving nature for the well-being of both the planet and its inhabitants. It is our duty to take action and make a positive impact, and we are proud to be able to do so alongside the government and other like-minded individuals.

Join us on 3 January 2024 as we come together to plant trees and make a difference. Together, we can protect the environment and ensure that Mount Rinjani remains a sanctuary for wildlife and a source of beauty and inspiration for all who visit. Let’s work together to create a more sustainable future for our planet.

So far, Mount Rinjani has always Been associated with the presence of garbage problems because many climbers and Business people as Trekking Organizers don’t think it’s important so they left trash in the Rinjani National Park area.

Porter take some ribbish on the mountain

we are dedicated to maintaining the pristine beauty of Mount Rinjani by ensuring that we leave no trace behind. We firmly believe in taking responsibility for our actions as Trekking Organizers, a responsibility that extends to the preservation of the natural wonder that is Mount Rinjani.

It is our unwavering commitment to bring back all rubbish encountered in the Rinjani National Park area, a task that we undertake without hesitation or exception. Each member of our team is bound to this duty, understanding the significance of their role in upholding the integrity of this sacred land. We take great care to collect all waste, ensuring that it is properly disposed of by delivering it to the designated garbage officer.

The importance of this practice cannot be overstated. Every piece of rubbish removed from Mount Rinjani is a step towards safeguarding its beauty for generations to come. We recognize that the preservation of this natural treasure is a collective effort, one that requires the cooperation and commitment of all who have the privilege of experiencing its majesty.

Our actions are driven by a deep sense of empathy for the land that we traverse. We understand that our presence on Mount Rinjani carries with it a responsibility to act as stewards of the environment. In conclusion, our commitment to preserving the pristine beauty of Mount Rinjani through the removal of rubbish is a reflection of our deep-seated respect for the environment. Our business respects human rights
Within the breathtaking Rinjani ecosystem, there are dedicated individuals known as porters who work tirelessly alongside guides and trek organizers. These porters play a crucial role in the success of any trekking expedition, but sadly, their well-being is often overlooked by some businesses within the industry.

As a responsible business operating within the Rinjani region, we understand the importance of respecting the Human Rights of these hardworking individuals. We believe in treating our porters with the dignity and fairness they deserve, ensuring that they are not burdened with excessively heavy loads that could potentially harm their health in the long run.

According to the standard operational procedure for trekking in Mount Rinjani, each porter is only supposed to carry a maximum of 25 kg. However, it is disheartening to learn that many businesses continue to disregard this rule, forcing their porters to carry loads ranging from 30-40 kg. This practice not only goes against the established guidelines but also puts the well-being of these porters at risk.

Carrying such heavy loads through steep and challenging terrains requires an immense amount of physical and mental strength. Over time, this can take a toll on the porters’ health, leading to serious repercussions in the future. It is our responsibility as trekking organizers to ensure that our porters are not subjected to unnecessary risks and hardships that could have a detrimental impact on their well-being.

We strive to create a work environment that is safe, fair, and respectful for all individuals involved in our trekking expeditions. By adhering to the guidelines set forth for porter loads, we are not only upholding their rights but also promoting a culture of empathy and compassion within the industry. It is only through these actions that we can truly make a positive difference in the lives of our porters and create a sustainable future for all those involved in the Rinjani ecosystem.

In the spirit of empathy and understanding, we urge all businesses operating within the Rinjani region to prioritize the well-being of their porters. Let us come together to ensure that these hardworking individuals are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve, and that their health and safety are always a top priority. Together, we can create a more compassionate and supportive environment for everyone within the trekking industry, making a lasting impact that will benefit us all in the long run.

Porter Mount Rinjani

We view this practice as a form of exploitation towards our fellow humans, and it deeply troubles us. Unfortunately, this occurs when unscrupulous businessmen offer the Rinjani package at prices that do not cover the necessary operational expenses, resulting in a reduced number of porters being hired. Consequently, opting for cheap tour packages is not a viable solution; rather, it inadvertently contributes to the perpetuation of human rights violations.

We understand the allure of a bargain and the desire to save money while embarking on new adventures. However, it is crucial to acknowledge the detrimental impact that disregarding fair labor practices can have on the lives of the individuals working hard to ensure your enjoyable experience.

By supporting tour operators who prioritize the ethical treatment of their staff and fair compensation for their labor, we can take a stand against human exploitation in the tourism industry. Remember, the choices we make as consumers have a ripple effect that extends far beyond our immediate surroundings. Let us choose compassion and empathy over convenience and cost savings when it comes to planning our travels. Together, we can make a difference and protect the rights and dignity of all individuals involved in making our adventures possible.

Mount Rinjani Trekking Tour Guides

Are you looking for information about climbing to Mount Rinjani, or planning to climb in the near future. You are in the right place. Because we are from Lombok Green Nature provide complete tour package information related to exploring the nature of Mount Rinjani National Park.

Tours and trekking to Mount Rinjani Lombok are the attractions that are most interested by tourists, both domestic and foreign tourists who have a hobby of exploring nature on the island of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province.

The Mount Rinjani track is 25 km long, counting from the entrance to the Mount Rinjani National Park area through Sembalun to the trekking gate of Senaru Village, North Lombok Regency.

Meanwhile, from the Summit campsite (Plawangan Sembalun) to the top of Mount Rinjani. The distance is 3 km. if calculated from the field to the peak and from the peak of the back to the Plawangan Sembalun the total is 6 km. Then the full package trekking program journey departs from Sembalun and finishes at Senaru for a total of 32 km.

The terrain of the Sembalun route, from the starting gate to post III, the track is relatively not too hard because there are still many tracks that are flat and not too uphill. Hiking from an altitude of 1150 masl to 1800 masl, and from post III the track is more challenging. Which is known as the hill of regret to Pelawangan Sembalun which is 2639 meters above sea level.

Along the Sembalun route, savanna forests are dominated by savanna from the entrance gate to the Mount Rinjani National Park area to Post III. Meanwhile, from post III to the summit campsite (Plawangan Sembalun), there are savanna and cypress forests.

Unlike the Sembalun route, the Senaru route is more challenging and tiring where you start the ascent from the gate which is 601 meters above sea level to 2641 meters above sea level. In terms of numbers, the Senaru route is steeper than the Sembalun route. In contrast to the Sembalun route, which passes through most of the Savanna Forests. The Senaru route is dominated by dense timber forests from the boundaries of the National Park Area to post III. Walk 500 meters from post III to Pelawangan consisting of savanna and fir forests.

Both the Sembalun and Senaru routes down to the lake are relatively the same, namely the tracks are both steep and rocky, so you have to be extra careful when passing through these two routes.

How long does it take to climb Mt Rinjani?

Trekking to Mount Rinjani usually takes 2 to 4 days and is required to use a company engaged in official tour operator services registered at the Mount Rinjani National Park Hall.

We from the Lombok Green Nature company provide all your travel needs starting from professional mountain guides, porters transporting goods as well as cooks during your adventure exploring Rinjani. Not only that, shuttle transportation and climbing equipment are also provided by the company.

Use services of a tour operator because the route along the journey in the Mount Rinjani is quite dangerous. Many of the paths are steep and steep, especially at certain points.

When is Mount Rinjani open?

In general, trekking to Mount Rinjani usually closes in early January and opens in early April every year. The closure was carried out because the weather was unfriendly, namely the intensity of the rain was very high and efforts were made to conserve the area.

The best time to climb Mount Rijani is from April to June. At that time, the weather was still cool and the nature around it was still green even though it usually rains in April. Meanwhile, starting in July-October the weather began to heat up and along the hiking trail it started to get dusty.

The peak of the high number of visits to Mount Rinjani both foreign tourists and domestic tourists is also between July, August, September and October.

segara anal lake hiking

Especially for domestic tourists, it is usually crowded in August on the Long holiday to celebrate the independence day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17. Event centers are located at several points at Pelawangan Sembalun, the peak of Mount Rinjani and at Segara Anak lake.

Meanwhile, for now it is not possible to travel to Lake Segara Anak through the Senaru gate because the descending path starting from Pelawangan has a landslide so that it cannot be passed. Thus climbing through the Senaru gate can only reach Pelawangan.

For tourists who want to visit Segara Anak lake, they must pass the Sembalun climbing route which is relatively still possible and good to pass. Then you have to go back through the same route considering that the path to the Senaru field is completely covered by landslides.
